Dr. Andrew Jacono Combines Surgical Mastery with Global Humanitarian Work
Some surgeons define themselves by technical excellence. Others by their service to patients who cannot pay. Dr. Andrew Jacono does both, and the combination appears throughout every dimension of his career.
Clinical Innovation on the Cutting Edge
The technique that made Dr. Andrew Jacono famous the Minimal Access Deep-Plane Extended (MADE) facelift departs from older, simpler approaches by lifting skin, muscle, and fat together rather than pulling the skin alone. Developed in the early 2000s, the method produces lasting results, typically 12 to 15 years, with an appearance Town & Country characterized as making patients look like refreshed versions of themselves.
Marc Jacobs disclosed that Dr. Andrew Jacono performed his facelift in 2021, and the designer noted the outcome’s natural quality. Dr. Paul Nassif, himself a plastic surgeon, also chose Jacono for his own deep-plane procedure. Both choices reflect the surgical community’s regard for his work.
Training Fit for the Technique
Dr. Andrew Jacono earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1996. He trained in Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary as administrative chief resident, then completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Today, he is Associate Clinical Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Section Head of Facial Plastic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital, and Fellowship Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. More than 70 peer-reviewed articles and over 100 international conference presentations trace the intellectual arc of his career.
The humanitarian roots of Dr. Andrew Jacono’s career trace to a childhood encounter with a classmate who had a cleft lip and palate. That memory led him to perform more than 750 surgeries for children with facial deformities through Healing the Children, and more than 100 reconstructive procedures for domestic violence survivors through FACE TO FACE, a program documented on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Newsweek placed him third among American facelift surgeons for 2025. The Most Compassionate Doctor Award recognized him each year from 2012 through 2022, given to fewer than 3% of physicians annually. Visit this page for more information.
